Seven days in Egypt is the sweet spot. Fewer days means rushing or missing major sites; more days risks fatigue. This itinerary is designed so that each day has a clear focus, each transition is smooth, and you never feel pushed. Two days in Cairo is enough for the pyramids, GEM, and a taste of the city. Three nights on the Nile gives you Aswan, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Luxor at a relaxed pace. Abu Simbel on Day 6 is worth the early wake-up — most guests describe it as the highlight of the entire trip.
For a shorter version, see our Egypt 5 Day Tour Package. For couples seeking a luxury romantic experience, see the Egypt Honeymoon Package.
Is Abu Simbel included? Yes — an early morning visit to Abu Simbel (Day 6) is included in this package. It departs from Aswan at 04:00 for sunrise arrival, with a return by midday before your afternoon Luxor flights.
What level of fitness is required? Moderate. You walk on uneven surfaces at archaeological sites and occasionally in heat. The pace is private and flexible — if you need to rest, you rest. This tour works for most adults including older travellers in reasonable health.
What is the accommodation standard? 4–5 star hotels in Cairo and a 5-star Nile cruise vessel. We provide specific hotel and ship recommendations at booking based on your dates and budget.
Can this tour be customised? Yes — all our packages are adjustable. Extra nights in Luxor, hotel upgrades, alternative sites, or extension to Hurghada can all be arranged. Contact us to discuss a bespoke version.
